On the occasion of the CeBIT, EPLAN Software & Service presented itself for the first time as integral supplier of process-oriented solutions. By this, the Monheim-based software experts are extending their portfolio with comprehensive tools & services for the process chain.

The boundary conditions, nowadays applying for the electric and mechanical construction in equal terms, can be described by cost pressure and the urge for improving quality and efficiency. In the field of engineering as well as in subsequent stages such as the production people think and work in processes that have to be particularly oriented to the specification of a company. This is characterized by the interplay of different disciplines such as development, production, and maintenance as well as by the common use of data in various process stages.
 
The CAx tools used for the development generally represent the primary data source since they are employed at an early stage of the project. This requires a smooth integration of the CAx system into the entire process, naturally with the intention to have these data available and usable. The optimal organization of the processes and tools while considering the respective interactions is seen as the organizational challenge.

EPLAN Software & Service is not only a mere software supplier but the service factor is of particular importance. By continuously expanding the fields of consulting and customizing, tailor-made solutions are developed in cooperation with the customer that are always oriented to the entire process. But this is not all! Supplementary modules for correlated areas such as production, administration, and maintenance are now considerably more integrated. 

In the EPLAN environment the areas of production, maintenance, and service are supported for example by Elaplan (calculation and planning of switchgears and distribution systems), Clip-Select (terminal-strip planning), SV-Plan (power distribution), or Inter@View (Internet)! For LOGOCAD TRIGA, too, there are various supplementary modules available for FEM calculation, NC production, EDM and ERP connection. EPLAN Software & Service thus does not stop after the planning and construction stages but offers practical support during the subsequent production process!
