EPLAN Software & Service, March 2001
Cooperation Contract for the Distribution of Elaplan Concluded
EPLAN Software & Service and
Elektrasoft GmbH, developer of the CAE solution
Elaplan (do not confuse with
EPLAN), announce their cooperation in the form of a sales partnership. With immediate effect, the Monheim-based company owns the distribution rights for
Elaplan and will use its established distribution channels to offer the
product.

In view of the new, process-oriented position of EPLAN Software & Service, Elaplan represents the ideal supplement to the present product portfolio. Using Elaplan, electrotechnical switchgears and distribution systems can be planned with extensive possibilities to calculate and dimension electric circuits in high-voltage, medium-voltage, or low-voltage systems. This solution is of particular interest to
EPLAN customers since the calculation aspect of dimensioning and selectiveness becomes increasingly important in view of product liability. But not only
EPLAN customers are likely to be potential buyers - new target groups such as the energy industry are also successively aimed at.
Here, too, Elaplan offers effective support for the dimensioning of power supply networks with transformers, cables, protective devices etc., depending on the respective type of network.
The product Elaplan was originally developed by ALSTOM (formerly AEG). After a management buy-out at the beginning of the year, the CAE product
Elaplan was taken over by the
Elektrasoft company in Frankfurt/Main.
